What is your most memorable UT experience so far?

  • My most memorable experience so far would have to be going to my first football game. I had orange pride before coming to UT, but there is nothing quite like watching the game in person from the student section. The band playing Rocky Top, the orange wave of fans, and the team storming through the Power T are enough to get anyone excited about Tennessee football.

How did you decide on your major?

  • I have always been into math and science and building things has always been entertaining ever since the good ol’ days of Legos. The prospect of taking a problem and finding a solution is appealing, and that is essentially what engineers do. So Civil Engineering, with its perfect mixture of construction, design, and problem solving, seems to be the perfect fit.

What is your favorite place on campus?

  • It actually changes depending on the season, but the hill, in front of Ayres, would have to be my favorite spot. Once you catch your breath from hiking up there, the hill can be pretty peaceful. A close second is the very top floor of Hodges Library. It’s a perfect place to get work done without having to be around a lot of people. Even if you aren’t working, it is just a good place to go and clear your head.
