What is the most important piece of advice you would give new students?

  • I would advise students to always take advantage of your professors' office hours. Office hours are a great opportunity to get to know your professors and show your hard work towards your classes.

What is your most memorable UT experience so far?

  • Freshman year it snowed almost six inches and there was an impromptu snowball fight with random people in Presidential Courtyard. We all built snowmen afterwards and met tons of people. I even see people on my snowball fight team on campus to this day and we always smile and say "Hey!"

What surprised you most about coming to college?

  • The freedom you experience and the choices you are able to make on your own. College is such an amazing experience because you really learn who you are by meeting new friends and coming out of your comfort zone. The choices you make can lay the foundation for your college career and I was shocked how many options I had. It was so exciting to get involved on campus and challenge myself through the great organizations available.
