What is your most memorable UT experience so far?
- My most memorable experience so far was my initiation into Phi Mu Alpha, music fraternity. The pledge process lasted the entire fall semester. After learning the values and characteristics of the brotherhood, and partaking in all of the other ceremonies initiation was such a gratifying experience; I really learned the meaning of brotherhood. The whole time I thought how cool it was the thousands of Sinfonians over that last 107 years have gone through the same initiation ceremony.
What is your favorite extracurricular experience?
- Orientation Leader retreat was by far the best extracurricular experience so far. We left Friday as mere acquaintances and returned Sunday as a close knit group of friends. I have so many great memories and funny quotes from that trip that I couldn’t count on my fingers and toes! It was amazing learning so much about the other OL’s and becoming a family.
What surprised you most about coming to college?
- I was so nervous about finding a place and people to mesh with when I got to UT. But after a few weeks here at UT I was astonished at how easy it was to find a community that I fit into. There is so much to do here on campus, that finding those kindred spirits that shared my passions was an immediate process.
