What is your most memorable UT experience so far?
- The day I found out I was selected to be a RA (Resident Assistant). It was the first big thing that I had tried to get at UT and I got it. When I got my letter telling me I’d been hired I was so excited I called all my friends and parents before I put the letter down.
How did you decide on your major?
- When I was a sophomore in high school I went to Washington, DC for the first time. I fell in love with the place and developed a whole new respect for our nation’s government and I decided I wanted to take a part in that process. As for the pre-med part, I could go on for a long time about that, but ultimately I feel my talents are geared toward science and nothing would be more gratifying than being able to “fix people.”
What surprised you most about coming to college?
- All the opportunities that were available to me were surprising. There were activities, programs, and leadership positions constantly in front of me. I met so many people by taking part in these activities. I had no idea it would be so easy to meet new people and make new friends.
