How did you decide on your major?

• I have wanted to be a television news reporter since I was a little kid. I have always been intrigued by TV news and the important role that journalists play in our society. I am a total news junkie- so I always knew I wanted to be journalism major. I have never thought about changing my major and I could not be happier!

What is your favorite place on campus?

• My favorite place on campus is Circle Park. It is one of the prettiest places on our campus, and it’s also a great place to relax. I also like Circle Park because of the Torchbearer. The Torchbearer reminds me of the honor and tradition of being a student at the University of Tennessee.

What surprised you most about coming to college?

• I thought that UT would be so huge that I might get lost in the crowd. I learned that this was not true. Getting involved on campus allows you to meet great people, and it makes UT feel like home. I noticed that I could always see friendly faces as I passed by people walking to class. It is great running into people on campus and realizing UT is now my home.
