Homecoming is always my favorite week of fall semester. I love working hard all week and then watching the parade on Friday. I enjoy each and every competition from the kick-off, to the banner, to the window display, but especially the float. One year, my friend and I were in charge of the float for our sorority. It rained on game day, but we ventured out in the rain to watch the game and hear who won. The most amazing experience occurred when I heard that we won the float competition!

I loved the subject of psychology when I took it as a high school student. So, I began my freshman year as a psychology major. I switched that major a couple of times, only to inevitably come back to psychology. I love talking to people, listening to people, and helping them solve problems. Last summer, I volunteered in my home church’s youth group and realized that I enjoy working with teenagers. That experience led me to minor in Adolescent Health. Whenever I graduate and whatever I do, I hope to be helping others.

Everyone needs to get involved with something! The activity that allows you to find your niche will lead to some of your life’s best friends and experiences. Fall of my freshman year, I went through Panhellenic’s recruitment process where I ended up joining a sorority. My chapter allowed me to meet an incredible group of women from all over with different experiences. My sorority sisters and I have participated in so many fun All Campus Events like Vol Challenge, Homecoming, All Sing, and Carnicus. My chapter also encouraged me to develop as a leader and also provided a platform for getting involved with organizations like The Cross and Panhellenic.
